Blessed Sacrament Parish

Blessed Sacrament

The Holy Name Society will reorganize for the new year this weekend, Sunday, January 12 at 7:00 PM in the Parish Hall. We are looking for new members and consider this an invitation to join. Officers are: President Adam Nosak, 1st Vice President Dominick Rocco Jr, 2nd Vice Presidnet Anthony Zelazny, Secretary Artie Philipps Jr., Treasurer Steven Gedrich, Financial Secretary Mark Wallo, Sergeant at Arms Vince Lorent. We are looking for new members and new ideas. All members and new members are invited, 7:00 PM in the Parish Hall.

WEEKLY PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY

On Thursday, January 23, local Christian Churches from the Mid Valley will gather for the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. (the week begins on January 18 and concludes on the Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul on January 25) We will be hosting this year’s program which will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Parish January 23, 2020 at 7:00 PM, refreshments/fellowship immediately following. The offering will be directed to Breadbasket of NEPA.

BLESSED SACRAMENT STITCHERS

The Blessed Sacrament Stitchers meet the second Friday of each month at 10:00 A.M. in Blessed Sacrament Parish rectory. In order to create and deliver soft and cuddly booties and hats for the newly baptized infants of Blessed Sacrament and Holy Cross Parishes the stitchers are seeking donations of the following items:

  • White soft baby knitting yarn
  • Small paper gift bags in pink, blue or white (approximately 5x7)
  • Pink and blue tissue paper and ribbon

Donations are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at the Parish rectory. New members are always welcome!
